High Desert Trip Report


These areas were explored and established in the winters of 1993-1995. Located in the Apple Valley, these crags feature a wide variety of routes on Joshua Tree style granite. "The Cemetery" is the most popular area in the High Desert. This area contains a multitude of routes for climbers of all skill levels. For more advance climbers "The Dead Zone" offers many worthy routes of attention. The High Desert is the warmest and driest sport climbing in Southern California
